I am starting a children’s music class for kids from seven to thirteen. I have well-thought through, concrete, but still fun plans for the classes, which include reading music notation and recognizing rhythms, as well as applying the skills they learn to playing an instrument like a recorder for a recital at the end of the program.

However, although I am very much so qualified to run this, I am a teenager. I am a violinist and concert mistress of my local orchestra, and play for weddings as well as other events. I just don’t know how to go about starting this program, and I am afraid my age will deter people from it. I know where I will get my supplies, but I need to know how to publisize my idea and get it out there to the public. Every detail is thought out, and now I am just ready to start.
So, how do I find participants?
